Earlier this week while doing my grocery shop at the Neutral Bay Woolworths (on Yeo St) I found this little treasure! They had me at "America's Favorite Cake!" How much did this little "Made in the USA" gem cost me?
I have no idea....
I didn't even look - does it matter? Really for America's Favorite Cake!
As I was thinking about my new imported treasure from the Promised Land, I desperately tried to remember if this was even the brand of cake I bought while living in the USA.
Hmmm....
Funny how time passes on and eventually you forget all the things and brands that you just couldn't live without.
There really is nothing that I long for anymore. Admittedly, there are things that are special when I get them from home, but nothing that I have to have. Oh, how after 3.5 years in another country you are changed.
Duncan Hines is MY brand but the question is, did it really taste like the American Duncan Hines? The Betty Crocker mixes here do not taste the same at all... I suppose I will have to hit the Woolies and see for myself. :-)
