Greetings from the top of the Eiffel Tower!
We came, we stood in line, we conquered!
Line was less than an hour today - we went when it was raining, then the sun came out - so wasn't bad.
Last night wait was well over three hours. They have four lifts to the top of the Tower and currently three are under renovation. Hmmmm.
We have pondered the efficiency of that! Why? ??? Perhaps renovate one run three OR renovate two operate two! Seems they aren't smitten with all the tourists around. Perhaps, this is the Frenchie way of saying, Go home! It certainly is not the German efficiency way of things. Oh well. All entertaining none the less'.

Who needs an elevator? We took the stairs! Poor Tom, carrying a baby in a backpack AND the stroller (which they don't allow you to park at the bottom) up over 700 steps. But it was better than waiting in the queue for hours!
